Joomla 1.6 Beta 6 Now Available

Joomla Beta version6 of Joomla 1.6 has already been announced and is ready for download. This beta version is not meant for running any production site. It is for evaluation purpose. The last release of Joomla 1.6 beta 5 was on June 12. Experts claim that approximately 98 issues were fixed that had been logged in the bug tracker.

Joomla bug squad has been consistently striving to put the things is order. They have been working hard in logging bugs. It is through their persistent efforts that the version release has made the product even closer to stable.

The Joomla bug squad activities have always been centered mostly on the issue tracker. The issue tracker has been actively maintained. All registered users were requested to submit code patches but they are also warned that these patches should be in accordance with the most recent version of the source code. Such initiative is always appreciated as the core team feels that they will expedite and facilitate the process of resolving all issues with the current version. In case some issues are reported, the contributor is also requested to monitor the same and also be open to information sharing. Such involvement would undoubtedly ensure greater stability of the releases.
