How can I Upload Themes to Drupal?
Drupal themes can be used for designing a Drupal powered website. Themes basically control the way your site will look and function. For getting Drupal theme you have to install the theme at your Drupal installation. For installing a Drupal theme you have to first download a theme from the official Drupal website. While downloading a theme you have to first ensure that the theme is compatible with the version of Drupal that you are using.
After the package of the theme is downloaded you have to extract the package with an extracting tool. Now you will have all the files ready for uploading the theme to your Drupal installation. For best performance and updating the themes seamlessly, you need to upload the files to the sub-directory under the site/<site name>. It will be better to upload the theme by creating a new sub directory under the theme directory. If you are having more than one site under your Drupal installation, you should upload the theme under the directory site/all directory. After installing the theme you should read the readme.txt file and check whether there is any special instruction for installing the theme.
Once you have installed the Drupal theme, you have to enable the theme. For enabling the theme you have to browse through the administrator panel and go the theme section. There you will have to check the box for enabling the Drupal theme that you want to use. After installing the theme you can customize different features of the theme according to your preference.
