Joomla vs. Drupal
Most Drupal and Joomla comparisons tend to categorically state the advantages and disadvantages of choosing one of these two solutions and leaves the ultimate decision on the user’s requirements. A bit of handholding as to how you can select the one that will suit your needs would be very useful for those who are confused as to which one would be a better option. Both Drupal Development and Joomla Customization has been known to provide the highest level of client satisfaction to its users. Drupal is generally rated higher than Joomla in areas such as core and module documentation, bugs, integration of add-ons with the core, and framework. Drupal is also in a slighter stronger position compared to Joomla when it comes to multimedia support, and incorporation of features such as social networking, SSL, creation of forums, or managing event calendars, and blogging. The user-friendliness and flexibility of Drupal is better than Joomla. But everything said and done, the biggest advantage of Joomla is that it is easier to grasp the CMS interface, and the subsequent managing, maintenance, and upgradation of Joomla web sites by not-so-technical people. Joomla also gives the option of choosing from a huge range of free and commercial designs. Also the graphical interface of Joomla scores a higher point than Drupal. Given all the pros and cons, it is indeed very difficult to reach a logical conclusion as to which is better from an overall perspective.
